Der, die, das, or den?
In the English language, there are several ways of saying "the." The same concept applies to German, but instead of say the they either say der, die, das, or den. Knowing the object and subject. Der is mainly used for the subject and den is used for the object. Die and das are extras that come after den and der. Before they state and object or subject, they always say either ein, eine, or einen. Ein is used for the subject, and einen is used for the object in der. In die, eine is used for the subject and object. Finally in das, ein is used for both the object and subject. Learning these concepts are very important, especially when you get into the complicated things. Using the four ways to say one object or subject can get very confusing at times.
Visually interacting, and speaking German are nice ways to learn. If you're stumped on a question, always try to read it out aloud and see which one fits. If absolutely non of them fit, then you may want to skip that problem. German and English are very alike, especially in terms of words. They sound exactly alike, because German and English come from the same roots. For example is you have the word "Klassen" It means class, and "sagt" means say.
